Bio

Mark Bajalia began his career in law as an insurance defense lawyer representing businesses, business owners and healthcare providers in general and professional liability cases, and he has handled and successfully defended 100s of cases raging from premises liability, automobile and trucking accidents and medical malpractice and nursing home claims, among others.

Subsequently, Mark began working for a commercial litigation firm where he focused his practice on complex commercial litigation cases. During that time, Mark prosecuted a lawsuit on behalf of an insurance company against a reinsurer for breach of oral contract, resulting in a multi-million dollar settlement. He was also part of the team that represented the Florida Department of Financial Services Office of Insurance Regulation in its capacity as Receiver of insolvent insurers in litigation against former officers, directors and principals, and against outside professionals and reinsurers, resulting in millions of dollars of recoveries for the State of Florida.

In addition to his litigation experience, Mark Bajalia is an experienced appellate lawyer, having handled numerous appeals and presented numerous oral arguments before the Florida district courts of appeal. Mark now uses his broad litigation and appellate experience by serving as a trusted advisor, a mediator, and a consulting partner to his numerous business clients, providing sage legal advice and counsel on a number of operational, contractual, strategic and risk management issues through all stages of business life from incorporation through dissolution.

Mark Bajalia is admitted to the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice in all State and federal courts in Florida, including the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
